Iron Blight Enemies Ranked by Threat
Iron Blight has no health bars and no ammo counter, so the only threat model that matters is how many rounds a thing costs you. Ranks below are ordered by that cost, using the enemies named in the Steam achievement list, the Patch 1.01 notes and dated player reports in the Steam forums. Behaviour changed on 26 August 2026, so launch-week footage can be out of date.
Lethal Tier
| Name | Role | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Kuvalda | Named heavy | Gets its own achievement for being killed at all. Patch 1.01 updated its alertness behaviour and reduced the speed of its roar animation, and fixed alert music that could loop forever after an encounter. |
| Leaper | Ambusher | Reported in the official bug thread as killing a full-health player in one hit. Treat any Leaper contact as a fight you should have avoided; this is what the kick and the door are for. |
Costly Tier
| Name | Role | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Gora | Heavy | Killing one is an achievement in its own right. Players report seeing them around the train tracks area, and Patch 1.01 notes that two Gora colliding can clip into indoor spaces. |
| Superintendent | Bullet sponge | Players in the apartment-building thread report roughly three headshots to put one down for good, and that aggroing one can be undone by quitting to menu, which saves ammo. Unverified as a designed behaviour. |
| Gopnik | Lunger | Leaves the ground when it attacks, which is what the Clay Pigeon achievement rewards you for punishing. The lunge is the only reliable tell you get. |
Common Tier
| Name | Role | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Mutant | Standard threat | The generic hostile the achievement list keeps referring to. Heads can be gibbed with guns or melee, and a single kick can push up to four of them at once. |
| Zombie | Filler | Can play dead and get back up. Patch 1.01 shipped a potential fix for killed zombies standing up again, and the kick stuns them, which is what the 20-stun achievement is built around. |

What the ranks mean
Iron Blight gives you no health bar and no ammo counter, so there is no way to rank an enemy by raw damage numbers. What you can measure is cost: how many rounds, how much noise and how much of a retreat each thing forces out of you. Anything in the Lethal band should be avoided rather than fought, and anything in the Common band can be answered with the kick and a door.
Two of these enemies have achievements attached purely for killing them, which is the clearest signal the game gives about what it considers a real fight. See the full achievement list for what each kill unlocks, and the weapon list for what to spend on them.
